The community of New Philadelphia, Ohio, is reeling after the death of 66-year-old Jack Lineberry, who tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on Saturday evening, March 21, 2026. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:05 p.m. on State Route 800 near Froman Hill Road in Fairfield Township. Lineberry was traveling southbound on his 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he tried to avoid a collision with a vehicle that had slowed to make a right turn. In the attempt to steer clear of the vehicle, he swerved left of center, lost control, and crashed into a guardrail, suffering severe injuries.
