Clovis, New Mexico — The Clovis community is grappling with the heartbreaking loss of 21-year-old Lyrasha Haskins, who was fatally shot during a drive-by shooting at a house party early Sunday morning, March 22, 2026.

At approximately 12:28 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Grand and Calhoun streets in response to reports of multiple gunshots. Upon arriving, officers found that at least six individuals had been shot. Among them was Lyrasha, who tragically succumbed to her injuries. A 17-year-old female was critically wounded, and two others were transported to Lubbock for medical treatment.

Authorities recovered 9mm-caliber and .223-caliber shell casings at the scene, indicating the seriousness of the attack. Police Chief Trevor Thron confirmed that an anonymous tip led to several individuals being taken into custody for questioning later that morning. Though some of those questioned are persons of interest, no arrests have been made at this time.
